Visual regression testing

Catch visual regressions before your customers do

Compare production pages across releases, viewports and states, then focus review on the changes that matter.

Built for QA teams, frontend engineers and release managers.

The challenge

Visual quality is difficult to protect manually

Small CSS, content and layout changes can escape functional tests and spread across hundreds of pages.

Repeatable baselines

Compare new captures with rolling or protected reference captures.

Faster review

Use side-by-side, overlay and visual differences to understand each change.

Release confidence

Review and record expected changes without losing the visual history.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run visual regression testing without writing tests?

Yes. VisualRunner builds the page list from a sitemap, crawl, URL list or spreadsheet, and captures and compares pages without a test suite.

How are baselines managed?

Each comparison uses a rolling baseline (the previous approved capture) or a protected baseline you pin, such as a reference design or campaign state.

Can it run from my CI pipeline?

Yes. Monitors can be triggered through the API with an API key, and webhooks report detected changes and failures.
